I’m so excited to share the details about our small southern farmhouse remodel and renovation in this farmhouse blog post! FARMHOUSE REMODEL & RENOVATION: THE BACKSTORYRichard and I moved in a roughly 10yrs ago right before we got married. Richard's dream to live on beautiful land. We immediately purchased this sweet little farmhouse truthfully because of the land. The home didn't look like much of anything with its previous remodel. The house itself was old 1930's and outdated, but we decided to move in “as-is” to give ourself a bit of time to make renovation plans. Well, I got pregnant with our big boy Carter within a few yrs of being married, so we needed to hold off on the whole farmhouse remodel a bit. Well... shortly after that time slipped away and we were pregnant with sweet Christian. By the time Christian was 3 we decided, now was the time! NO MORE holding off. Day 1Well, its day 1 and Jon Hart's Crew have been working hard at taking off the popcorn ceiling and tearing down these walls. In for a surprise indeed! We knew this was a special home and roughly built in or prior to the 1930's. What we knew was the floors were very old wood tongue and groove. But could we be keep them? Thats the next big question. We did not know that the walls and ceiling were tongue and groove heart pine as well. Not really knowing the back story of this adorable farmhouse... we had no idea the shape it was truly in. CHECK OUT SOME OF THE PICTURE THUS FAR BELOW.... More to come ...BE SURE TO FOLLOW ALONG DAY 2HERE WE FLOW..... hahaha Well at least we got to save those gorgeous tongue and groove walls for future use of the kitchen details... HINT HINT Jon Hart's Team are really working hard and doing a great job! As you can see the ply wood covered up all the damaged 100+ yr old flooring and there was just more than half of it gone so.... WITH a very heavy heart... we couldn't save the floors.... but we are still getting real wood floors <3 as these definitely had to be completely replaced. BUT....... WE ARE KEEPING THE ENTRY WAY FLOORS!!!!! AHHHH Can I Just share one more thing with y'all! When we bought this home we found a set of OLD OLD French doors my husband refinished for our bedroom... which we will show soon... hahaha AND we had an inclination where it may have been from in the house... but now WE REALLY KNOW!!! Week 2Its been a crazy ride so far! The actual tongue and groove floor that runs through out the house has more than 50% of work needed to get it restored and fixed... SO it looks like with our small budget we will get wood floors instead of trying to hunt down these beauties to replace and fix... :( SAD but tough decision. The old floors themselves in our home were actually the only floor down... so literally the actual subfloor itself hahaha.... WOW ... WOW this is our house siding under the vinyl siding.... YAY... We moved the back door! Can you guess why? YES! A PANTRY FINALY for this adorable farm house! AND for this MAMA of boys who needs a place for tons of snacks.... lol HELLO gorgeous FARM HOUSE DOOR! My husband is amazing!!! When we bought his home we had come across some gems that sat inside and this is one of them... a 100yr old door that was a piece of history with this home. He restored it and we are using it as the pantry door! GOSH it feels like its taking FOREVERhaha Few weeks have passed and its been slow... but slow and steady wins the race... Here a few more captures to show our progress. PAINT on Ceilings. Kitchen walls sanded. FLOOR color chosen and paint color! Week 6 In Deep! Not much going on the last few weeks...this is due to holidays lol BUT we are in deep... HAHAHA And this mommy is ready for her Little farm house to be finished. BUT STILL SO MUCH TO DO!! CHECK OUT THE PROGRESS BELOW Week 7 |

It’s hard to describe just how much we loved this day. It was genuine and full of the best kind of emotion! Dustin, especially after receiving his grooms gift from his soon to be wife... tried so hard to hold back his tears majority of the day and it melted everyone’s heart. My favorite part of their ceremony was when Dustin was in tears because of what it meant for his bride to be walking down the aisle to him. She was coming to commit her life to him. Standing beautiful in her sweetheart gown! Love is true and patient, pure and free. Love is Gods gift!

Now this is what fairy tales are made of! Angie and Al’s wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Fall finally decided to come to town and with it, it brought the most amazing sunlight and beautiful breeze! Angie wore a stunning strapless mermaid gown with a long train and her bouquet was filled with beautiful purple, white and succulent greenery. Angie's bridesmaids wore long light gray tule skirts with a soft white spaghetti strap top. Al wore the sweetest seersucker suit and his groomsman wore light gray suits with suspenders and cotton twined succulent boutonnieres. The ceremony was held on the beach of the crystal coast. As Angie walked down the beach way towards the aisle the sun was shining through the gorgeous green wreath that Angie and Al built perfectly. It lit up her and her brother while putting everyone else in shadow. It was amazing. The couple read hand written vows and Al’s brother joined the two in marriage and his sister in-law read a sweet reading.
